On December 4, 2008 Dr. Albert Einstien Academy, School No. 29, hosted an astronomy themed event for students and thier families called a "Star Party." During the event more than fifty particpants conversed with NASA specialists, Roger Storm and David Mazza, from from NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio through video confrencing. Mr.Storm guided the audience through an informative virtual tour of the moon, where participants experienced the phases of the moon through a hands-on simulation in the gym. Additionally, Mr. Storm reviewed the basics of viewing the night sky using various types of telescopes including the schools new 8-inch Dobsonian telescope funded by NASA.
